The Opportunity

Join Batch Robotics, a pioneering team of 4 experts with over 25 years of industry and robotics experience. Our mission is to make robots smarter and more flexible, enabling batch-size-1 automation for surface treatment economically. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at the forefront of AI-driven robotic systems, you'll design, implement, and train state-of-the-art models for perception and control of robot arms. Your work will directly impact how factories in Europe remain competitive with intelligent robotics.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and train advanced AI models for perception and control of robot arms.
• Collect real-world data from factory deployments to optimize model training and update models in the field.
• Work on simulation-based tooling (e.g., NVIDIA Newton Physics Engine) for physical AI and scalable synthetic data generation.
• Build ML components across perception and policy pathways, including video models, multimodal encoders, world models, and diffusion/transformer architectures.
• Integrate real-world, multimodal datasets (vision, force/torque, tactile) to ensure models operate reliably under real-time constraints on physical hardware.
• Evaluate and refine models in realistic environments for stability, latency, and robustness.

What We're Looking For

We seek a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with technical excellence and entrepreneurial drive. You should have:

• A Master's Degree or (almost) finished PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• More than 3 years of professional experience in robotics or machine learning.
• Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art AI models and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and NVIDIA Newton Physics Engine.
• Experience in data collection, model training, and deployment in real-world environments.
