Senior Fund Accountant

The Voleon Group is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join its operations team in the United States. In this full-time position, you'll deliver accounting expertise and operational rigor to support a rapidly growing, AI-powered asset management firm.

About the Role

As Senior Fund Accountant, you'll own fund accounting and financial reporting for one or more investment funds. This key operations position bridges portfolio activity with accurate, compliant financial records and serves as a critical control point for fund integrity and investor confidence.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, review, and reconcile fund financial statements, net asset value (NAV) calculations, performance reports, and investor account statements
• Account for fund transactions, securities transactions, cash flows, and accruals with precision and completeness
• Execute month-end and year-end close procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and fund governing documents
• Reconcile fund positions against custodial records, brokers, and third-party administrators to identify and resolve variances
• Support regulatory filings and maintain complete documentation in accordance with SEC requirements and fund compliance standards
• Partner with investment, compliance, and risk management teams to resolve operational issues and ensure data integrity
• Identify process improvements and implement enhancements to strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of fund accounting operations

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of fund accounting, institutional accounting, or investment operations experience, with deep knowledge of fund accounting practices and NAV processes
• Strong accounting foundation in hedge funds, mutual funds, or alternative investment fund structures
• Hands-on proficiency with fund accounting software, Excel modeling, and general ledger systems
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple funds and competing deadlines without compromising accuracy
• Working knowledge of SEC regulations and compliance requirements governing investment fund operations
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA credential preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a rigorous, intellectually driven environment
