Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, and explore large structured and unstructured datasets to uncover patterns and generate reliable insights.
• Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations and visualizations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define success metrics, experiment designs, and data product roadmaps.
• Establish and promote best practices for data quality, feature engineering, model monitoring, and documentation.
• Guide junior data scientists through code reviews, pair problem-solving, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Stay current with emerging methods in machine learning, statistics, and related tooling, then evaluate their practical value for ongoing work.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of hands-on experience as a data scientist or in a closely related role, with demonstrated ownership of production models.
• Strong proficiency in Python or R for data analysis, plus solid SQL skills for querying relational data stores.
• Working knowledge of modern machine-learning libraries and frameworks, experimental design, and model-evaluation techniques.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly in both written and spoken form.
• Proven track record of working effectively with product, engineering, and business partners in a professional environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms, version control, and data-pipeline tools is preferred but not required.
