The work centers on end-to-end ownership of analyses and models—from framing questions and preparing data through validation, deployment support, and continuous improvement—while mentoring peers and raising the bar for analytical quality in a distributed setting.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evaluate statistical and machine learning models to address priority questions
• Explore, clean, and feature-engineer large or complex datasets using reproducible workflows
• Translate ambiguous business problems into clear analytical plans and measurable success criteria
• Partner with engineers and product teammates to productionize models and monitor performance over time
• Communicate findings through concise write-ups, visualizations, and stakeholder presentations
• Review code and methodology with colleagues to ensure rigor, fairness, and maintainability
• Stay current on techniques relevant to senior data science work and share practical learnings with the team

What You Bring

• Proven experience as a data scientist or in a closely related quantitative role at a senior level
• Strong command of statistics, experimental design, and core machine learning methods
• Proficiency in Python (or R) and SQL for data manipulation, modeling, and automation
• Familiarity with common ML libraries, version control, and collaborative development practices
• Ability to explain technical results to both technical and non-technical audiences
