Responsibilities

• Monitor security events, investigate incidents, and coordinate effective response and recovery actions.
• Establish and refine security standards, policies, secure configuration baselines, and operating procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to embed security throughout the technology lifecycle.
• Evaluate, recommend, and optimize security tools such as SIEM platforms, firewalls, endpoint protection, and access controls.
• Advise on network security, identity and access management, encryption, and hardening practices.
• Track emerging threats and industry best practices, then translate them into practical improvements for the environment.

Requirements

• Solid background as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer or equivalent senior-level security engineering experience.
• Proven ability to design and operate enterprise security solutions that reduce risk and support reliable operations.
• Hands-on expertise with network security, vulnerability management, incident response, and security monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with widely used security frameworks and concepts such as risk assessment methodologies and secure architecture principles.
• Strong analytical skills for investigating complex security issues and recommending clear, prioritized solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and influencing technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a full-time capacity based in Duluth, GA.
