Business Value Consultant

Observe.AI is hiring a remote Business Value Consultant (US) to bridge enterprise pre-sales and customer success, turning AI-powered customer experience capabilities into measurable business outcomes. If you build playbooks rather than follow them, this full-time role puts you at the center of how leading brands realize value from conversational AI.

About the Role

As a Business Value Consultant at Observe.AI, you own the customer journey end to end — from value selling during the deal cycle through value realization after the sale. Roughly 30% of your time is spent shaping strategic enterprise opportunities alongside sales, and the remaining 70% is spent embedded with customers as a forward-deployed expert who quantifies ROI, uncovers optimization opportunities in the data, and advises senior stakeholders. This position is fully remote within the US and requires approximately 20–25% travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Value selling: Team up with Account Executives and Solutions Engineers on enterprise deals — leading discovery, connecting customer pain points to the platform, and crafting business cases, dashboards, and ROI stories that land with economic buyers.
• Post-sales value realization: Partner with CSMs and Implementation Managers to grow adoption and retention through joint value sessions and industry- and KPI-specific plays, plus enablement on features, prompt engineering, reporting, and analytics.
• Applied data science: Run modeling workflows (regression, classification, clustering, forecasting) in Python and SQL — accelerated by AI coding tools — across use cases such as QA score lift, AHT reduction, and churn risk, validating findings with sound statistics.
• KPI monitoring & QBRs: Track metrics like QA, AHT, sentiment, and escalation rates; own dashboards in Looker, Tableau, or Power BI; and build QBR decks that quantify realized value at every milestone.
• Scaling workflows: Create reusable templates for QBRs and impact reviews, and deploy AI agents to automate recurring analysis and build a scalable insights knowledge base.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in analytics, data science, customer insights, value consulting, or customer success, ideally in B2B or SaaS.
• Technical fluency with Python (Pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels) and SQL (Snowflake preferred), using AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) as your default workflow with the rigor to validate and debug output.
• Hands-on experience with statistical modeling, classification, clustering, forecasting, and hypothesis testing.
• Skill building dashboards in Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• An AI-native operator who uses LLMs and agentic workflows to compress analysis cycles, draft customer narratives, and automate recurring tasks.
• A clear communicator who translates model outputs into plain-language summaries.
• Exposure to customer success KPIs, contact center operations, or Conversational AI is a plus.
