Senior Communications Engineer

About the Role

As a Senior Communications Engineer, you'll take ownership of complex communications infrastructure projects that support Disney's resort, theme park, and entertainment divisions. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies, collaborate across departments, and solve technical challenges that impact thousands of guests and team members daily. This is a hands-on role that combines strategic planning with hands-on technical execution.

What You'll Do

• Design, configure, and deploy communications systems that support resort operations, entertainment venues, and enterprise infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-impact network and communications issues, working with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime
• Develop technical documentation, procedures, and best practices for communications systems and processes
• Collaborate with architects, system engineers, and operational teams to plan capacity and implement upgrades
• Monitor system performance, identify optimization opportunities, and implement improvements
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members
• Evaluate emerging technologies and communications solutions relevant to Disney's operations

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience in communications engineering, network engineering, or related technical fields
• Strong expertise in enterprise communications systems, protocols, and infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement solutions independently
• Experience designing and documenting technical systems and processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Relevant professional certifications a plus
