Senior Claims Adjuster

Join BP&C as a Senior Claims Adjuster in New York City, where you'll evaluate and resolve complex property and casualty insurance claims for our clients. This is a full-time position with a specialty insurance leader committed to fair, thorough claims handling.

About the Role

As a Senior Claims Adjuster, you'll review submitted claims, investigate coverage questions, and make determinations that balance policyholder needs with accurate underwriting. You'll manage claim files from initial review through resolution, communicating with claimants, legal representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth resolution and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Investigate claims for accuracy, coverage eligibility, and fraud indicators
• Review policy documents and determine applicable coverage limits and deductibles
• Evaluate liability and damages to recommend appropriate claim decisions
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and their representatives
• Prepare detailed claim reports and maintain organized, compliant file documentation
• Communicate clearly with internal teams and external parties to resolve disputes
• Apply BP&C and company policies consistently while adapting to complex, non-standard claims

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on claims adjustment experience in property and casualty insurance
• Solid understanding of commercial liability, coverage analysis, and claims processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interaction
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously
• Problem-solving mindset and comfort with ambiguity in complex claims
• Professional demeanor and sound judgment in high-stakes situations
