Southern California Edison seeks a Program Safety Advisor for our Azusa location in Los Angeles County. This full-time role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise-wide safety standards, lead program improvements, and protect our workforce and communities through effective risk management and compliance excellence.
About the Role
As a Program Safety Advisor, you'll own the development, review, and continuous improvement of safety programs that drive measurable results across our organization. You'll translate safety strategy into operational reality, partnering with teams across the company to identify risks, strengthen protocols, and build a culture where safety is non-negotiable. Your work directly impacts how we protect employees, customers, and the communities we serve.
What You'll Do
- Design, evaluate, and enhance safety programs and protocols to meet regulatory requirements and exceed industry standards
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop targeted mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with operations, compliance, and field teams to implement safety improvements and ensure consistent execution
- Monitor program effectiveness through data analysis, audits, and stakeholder feedback
- Lead training and communication initiatives that strengthen safety awareness and accountability organization-wide
- Maintain current knowledge of evolving safety regulations and best practices in the energy sector
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in safety program development, compliance management, or risk assessment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate complex safety requirements into actionable plans
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Familiarity with safety standards, regulations, and audit processes
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive adoption of safety initiatives
- Detail-oriented approach with commitment to accuracy and compliance
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in safety, risk management, or related field
