The Opportunity

Allpress Espresso is seeking a reliable and hardworking Roastery Assistant to join our passionate team at Underground Coffee in Sydenham, Christchurch, New Zealand, New Zealand. As a Roastery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that we roast fresh, bag fresh, and deliver fresh coffee across New Zealand—from the top of the North Island to the bottom of the South.

• Supporting the roasting process
• Assisting with inventory management
• Ensuring quality control during production
• Participating in delivery operations as needed

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the roasting process by maintaining equipment and ensuring optimal conditions for coffee bean processing.
• Assisting with inventory management, including tracking stock levels and ensuring timely restocking of supplies.
• Participating in quality control during production to ensure that all roasted beans meet our high standards.
• Supporting delivery operations as needed, ensuring that coffee is delivered fresh and on time.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Loves coffee and has a genuine passion for the craft of roasting and delivering high-quality beans.
• Is reliable, hardworking, and committed to excellence in all tasks.
• Has experience in a similar role or a strong interest in learning about the coffee industry.
