We are seeking a passionate and skilled Espresso Machine Technician to join our team at Allpress Espresso in Musselburgh, Dunedin, New Zealand, New Zealand. This role involves maintaining and repairing espresso machines across various locations within Central Otago. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and meets high standards of quality.

• Diagnose and repair issues with espresso machines
• Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns
• Ensure all machinery is clean and hygienic
• Work closely with baristas to resolve any machine-related issues promptly

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to espresso machines
• Maintaining a high level of cleanliness in the equipment and work area
• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement
• Collaborating with baristas to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
• Keeping detailed records of all maintenance activities and repairs

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A strong understanding of espresso machine mechanics and technology
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Experience with coffee equipment maintenance and repair is highly desirable
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools
• The ability to travel throughout Central Otago, including areas such as Queenstown
• A passion for coffee and the willingness to engage with diverse clientele
