What This Role Involves

In this RN role at Providence Health and Services, you will provide expert care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for both mothers and their newborns. Your responsibilities include managing patient care, administering medications as needed, performing assessments, and communicating effectively with patients and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patient care during labor and delivery
• Assist in the delivery process under supervision
• Provide postpartum care and support to new mothers and their babies
• Administer medications as needed, following protocols
• Document patient care accurately and maintain confidentiality
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Skills & Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
• Licensed to practice in Labor and Delivery specialty
• Minimum 1 year experience as an RN in a related field preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Compassion and empathy for patients and their families
