Join Heidrick & Struggles as an Executive Search Associate specializing in the placement of senior Legal, Risk & Compliance Officers across the United States. Based in our New York City office, you'll support our executive search consultants in identifying, evaluating, and recruiting C-suite talent for premier organizations nationwide.

About the Role

As an Executive Search Associate, you'll be instrumental in our business-critical recruitment efforts, working alongside experienced search partners to build leadership pipelines for General Counsels, Chief Risk Officers, Chief Compliance Officers, and other senior legal and risk positions. You'll develop a deep understanding of the talent landscape in legal and compliance sectors while honing your recruiting craft through hands-on experience with high-stakes placements.

What You'll Do

• Source, screen, and evaluate executive-level candidates in legal, risk, and compliance functions through research, networking, and relationship development
• Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to identify emerging talent and understand compensation benchmarks
• Build and maintain candidate networks within the legal, risk, and compliance communities through relationship outreach
• Support search consultants with comprehensive candidate profiles, interview coordination, and placement logistics
• Assist in managing client relationships and communication throughout the recruitment lifecycle
• Develop familiarity with organizational dynamics, industry trends, and talent needs across sectors served
