The Opportunity

Swinburne University of Technology is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to join the Department of Mechanical and Product Design Engineering on a full-time basis for a 6-month fixed-term position at our Hawthorn campus. This role offers an Academic Level A salary with 17% superannuation and comprehensive staff benefits.

Core Duties

• To conduct research in additive manufacturing technologies, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in this field.
• To collaborate with academic colleagues and industry partners on projects related to additive manufacturing.
• To publish research findings in reputable journals and present at conferences.
• To supervise and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students as required.

Requirements

• A relevant PhD degree or equivalent professional experience in the field of additive manufacturing or a related engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated research capability with a track record of high-quality publications and successful project completion.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate research findings and collaborate with team members.
• A commitment to teaching and mentoring students as part of the academic role.
