Role Overview
The Registered Nurse will render and promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies. Responsibilities include direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or group of patients, assessing, planning, executing, and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient conditions and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
- Perform diagnostic tests and assist in treatment procedures
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Document patient care activities, progress notes, and observations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for comprehensive patient care
Qualifications
- Nursing degree or diploma from an accredited institution
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in South Africa (nationwide) (nationwide)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a clinical setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Affinity for cost-effective, quality patient care
