Registered Manager – Children’s Home

Join SGS Care as a Registered Manager at our Children's Home in Stockton. We're seeking an experienced residential childcare leader to oversee day-to-day operations, staff supervision, and high-quality care delivery for young people navigating complex trauma, behavioral, and developmental challenges.

About the Role

As Registered Manager, you'll lead a dedicated team providing trauma-informed residential care to young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties, histories of trauma, sexual exploitation, and neglect. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week position requires hands-on management of all facility operations, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence.

What You'll Do

• Oversee residential childcare operations and ensure adherence to state regulations and licensing standards
• Supervise, train, and mentor front-line care staff on evidence-based, trauma-responsive practices
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and behavioral supports for each young person
• Conduct regular assessments, document progress, and coordinate with external agencies and families
• Maintain comprehensive records, manage budgets, and report to leadership on facility performance
• Create a safe, therapeutic environment that supports healing and development

What We're Looking For

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to obtain within six months)
• Minimum two years of hands-on experience in residential childcare settings
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and behavioral intervention strategies
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and support teams in high-needs environments
• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license and clear background clearance
