What This Role Involves
The Regional Safety Manager will lead the Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) program for our Division 28 electronic security scope on a data center project in Port Washington, Wisconsin. As Convergint's prime security-systems subcontractor to the general contractor, you will be responsible for delivering access control, video surveillance, intercom, alarm systems, and other critical safety measures.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal EH&S regulations.
- Develop and implement EH&S policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain a safe work environment.
- Investigate workplace incidents and near-misses to prevent future occurrences.
Qualifications
- Degree in Safety Management or related field; experience may substitute for education requirement.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in safety management, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Aptitude for problem-solving and risk assessment.
