Join Bright Vision Technologies as a PeopleSoft Developer in a full-time role supporting enterprise applications across the United States (nationwide) (nationwide). We're seeking an experienced developer to design and implement PeopleSoft customizations, integrations, and enhancements that power our client solutions.
Role Overview
You'll take ownership of technical implementations for enterprise PeopleSoft systems, including HCM, FSCM, and Campus Solutions. This position combines hands-on PeopleTools development with strategic partnership across functional teams to deliver clean, maintainable, and upgrade-ready customizations. With a minimum of 5 years of PeopleSoft technical development experience, you'll drive solutions that strengthen system stability and support long-term platform success.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design and develop page customizations, components, records, fields, and PeopleCode logic using Application Designer.
- Build Application Engine programs for batch processing, data conversions, and ETL workloads.
- Create Component Interfaces and Integration Broker services to connect PeopleSoft with internal and external systems.
- Develop and optimize SQR and BI Publisher reports, including performance tuning for complex layouts.
- Configure and maintain the Approval Workflow Engine (AWE) for business process automation and notifications.
- Build nVision financial reports where applicable, ensuring solutions are well-documented and durable.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to analyze requirements, conduct fit-gap analysis, and translate needs into technical designs.
- Follow enterprise customization standards and minimize core modifications to simplify future upgrades.
- Lead unit testing, support functional and integration testing, and resolve defects during UAT and post-launch support.
- Optimize SQL queries against PeopleSoft data structures using explain plans and statistics tuning.
- Create technical documentation for designs, code, and operational procedures.
- Provide post-go-live and operational support, troubleshooting incidents and delivering sustainable fixes.
- Guide and mentor junior developers on PeopleSoft best practices and technical approaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Five or more years of hands-on PeopleSoft technical development experience.
- Strong proficiency with PeopleTools, Application Designer, and PeopleCode programming.
- Demonstrated experience with Application Engine programs, Component Interfaces, and Integration Broker frameworks.
- Working knowledge of SQR and BI Publisher for report development.
- Solid SQL skills and understanding of PeopleSoft data model architecture.
- Familiarity with HCM, FSCM, or Campus Solutions module structures and data flows.
- Experience supporting PeopleSoft system upgrades and patch deployments.
- Working knowledge of Approval Workflow Engine (AWE) configuration and administration.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation abilities.
