As a full-time team member you will maintain a visible, professional presence that deters issues, supports colleagues, and reassures visitors throughout Vancouver and North Vancouver. The role demands reliability, clear judgment, and calm under pressure while covering assigned shifts at the King Edward location and related nearby sites.

Core Duties

• Perform routine foot patrols of buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to identify and address potential risks
• Observe camera feeds and alarm panels, promptly investigating and documenting any unusual activity
• Manage entry and exit points, verifying credentials and guiding authorized individuals as needed
• Respond quickly and appropriately to incidents, disturbances, or medical situations while following established protocols
• Prepare accurate written reports on observations, events, and shift activities for supervisors and records
• Offer courteous assistance to visitors, employees, and customers while upholding site rules and standards
• Work closely with fellow team members and external emergency services when situations escalate

Qualifications

• Prior experience in protective services, security, or a related public-safety role is preferred
• Strong observational ability, sound judgment, and professional judgment under time pressure
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse groups and completing reports
• Physical fitness to walk extensive distances, stand for extended periods, and handle outdoor conditions across Vancouver sites
• Valid security worker credentials meeting British Columbia requirements, or the willingness and eligibility to obtain them
• Dependable attendance and readiness to work full-time schedules that support coverage needs in King Edward - Vancouver BC and surrounding areas
