The Opportunity
The Southwest Environmental Finance Center (Southwest EFC) at The University of New Mexico is seeking up to two Senior Project Managers to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will manage a diverse and growing portfolio of projects that span multiple funding sources, geographic regions, and technical focus areas.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the planning, execution, and closure of complex projects within budget and timeline constraints.
- Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules using methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and facilitate effective communication among team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Project Manager or similar role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects from initiation to closure.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for effective team management.
- Experience in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or PRINCE2.
- Familiarity with project management tools and software.
