Join Afresh, an AI platform transforming the grocery industry, as a Product Designer specializing in Ordering, working remotely across the United States. This full-time role offers the opportunity to design mission-critical software that helps reduce food waste at scale across thousands of grocery locations nationwide.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a senior product designer to architect comprehensive user experiences for our Ordering web application—a critical tool used by corporate operators managing replenishment strategies across tens of thousands of departments. You'll transform sophisticated AI-driven forecasting into actionable, confidence-building interfaces for decision-makers who lack technical depth. Working across product, machine learning, mobile, and full-stack engineering teams, you'll ensure that every interaction directly reduces food waste and drives measurable business impact.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design comprehensive web application experiences covering ordering flows, exception handling, system configuration, and performance monitoring
  • Create dashboards, reporting tools, and analytical surfaces that evolve from traditional data visualization toward conversational, AI-powered insights
  • Develop exception-management workflows and operational controls that enable non-technical users to tune ordering policies and configure display parameters
  • Design sophisticated conversational and agentic interfaces that deliver AI-powered recommendations to enterprise customers
  • Architect portal infrastructure experiences—permissions management, role-based access, administrative functions—that serve the entire product ecosystem
  • Build and maintain design systems and reusable components ensuring consistency across all portal applications
  • Ship rapidly with engineering partners using modern AI-assisted design tools while maintaining design coherence across the broader product suite

Requirements

  • Demonstrated senior-level product design expertise shipping user-facing applications with quantifiable business outcomes
  • Extensive enterprise SaaS background navigating complex organizational systems and multi-tiered user hierarchies
  • Product thinking combined with engineering capability—comfortable prototyping and building in code rather than producing static wireframes
  • Systems-level design perspective emphasizing reusable patterns and coherent navigation across platform surfaces
  • Proficiency with contemporary AI-assisted design and development tools for rapid exploration and prototyping
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills partnering effectively with product, engineering, and design leadership
  • Experience designing products with AI-powered components, including conversational interfaces and anomaly detection systems, is advantageous
  • Background designing multi-role, hierarchical, or permissions-based enterprise experiences is a plus
