The Producer‑Temp role at Univision Communications, Inc is a full‑time temporary position located in West Miami, Miami‑Dade County and contributes to the creation of timely, engaging newscasts for the company’s Spanish‑language audience.

About the Role

As part of the News Department, the temporary producer works alongside senior editors, reporters and the executive producer to help shape daily news coverage. The position supports the full production cycle, from story selection through to on‑air delivery, ensuring each segment meets journalistic standards and audience expectations.

What You'll Do

• Assist in researching, writing and editing news stories for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Build and maintain rundowns, timing scripts and coordinating live shots.
• Exercise sound news judgment when prioritizing breaking news and developing story angles.
• Manage multiple production tasks simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
• Leverage social media channels to source content, promote stories and engage viewers.
• Collaborate with assignment editors, reporters and the executive producer to ensure seamless workflow.
• Monitor news feeds, wire services and competitor broadcasts for emerging developments.
• Support fact‑checking, graphics preparation and quality control before air.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in television news production, preferably in a fast‑paced, multilingual environment.
• Strong storytelling ability with a keen eye for visual and auditory elements.
• Proficiency with newsroom computer systems, scripting tools and video editing software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Demonstrated capacity to multitask, prioritize and stay organized under pressure.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their role in newsgathering and audience interaction.
• A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
