Principal Product Advisor, Financials

Join Workday as a Principal Product Advisor, Financials and help enterprise customers and our product teams navigate the future of financial management. This full-time role is based in Atlanta, Fulton County, where you'll partner with our Financial Management division to shape products that empower finance teams globally.

About the Role

As a Principal Product Advisor specializing in Financial applications, you'll serve as a trusted expert guiding both customers and internal product teams. You'll translate complex financial processes and business requirements into actionable product insights, influence our financial product strategy, and help close critical deals by demonstrating how Workday solutions solve real finance challenges.

What You'll Do

• Partner with enterprise finance leaders and operations teams to understand their most pressing challenges in accounting, procurement, and financial planning
• Advise our Product and Engineering teams on market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning in financial applications
• Collaborate across Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions Consulting to accelerate customer adoption and expansion opportunities
• Contribute to the product roadmap by synthesizing customer feedback and identifying high-impact capabilities for the Financial Management suite
• Represent Workday at industry events and customer forums, establishing credibility as a thought leader in enterprise finance technology
• Help prospects and customers evaluate Workday's financial applications against their specific operational requirements

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in finance operations, accounting systems, or financial planning and analysis within large enterprises
• Deep functional knowledge of financial processes including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, procurement, and close procedures
• Proven ability to translate technical and business requirements across diverse stakeholder groups
• Experience working with enterprise financial software platforms and cloud-based business applications
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage executives and technical teams alike
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
