About This Position

The Prep Chef position at RRR Seasonal Career Center in Gypsum, Colorado is a part-time, seasonal role. Reporting to the Food Service Manager, this position plays a crucial part in maintaining high standards of food preparation and service within our camp and office-based kitchen environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing meals for daily operations, ensuring quality and adherence to dietary guidelines.
• Participate in the setup and breakdown of dining areas as needed.
• Contribute to inventory management by tracking supplies and maintaining cleanliness in storage areas.
• Support kitchen staff during busy periods with tasks such as washing produce, chopping vegetables, and setting up equipment.
• Ensure all food preparation adheres to safety and hygiene standards.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar culinary role within the past 3 years.
• Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food handling and storage practices.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Basic knowledge of nutrition and dietary restrictions is beneficial.
