What You'll Do
- Travel to client locations within Mesa and surrounding Maricopa County communities to witness signatures on legal documents.
- Verify signer identity using acceptable forms of identification in accordance with Arizona notary law.
- Ensure documents are complete, properly dated, and free of alterations before applying your notary seal and signature.
- Maintain an accurate, up‑to‑date notary journal of all acts performed, securing it as required by state regulations.
- Provide clear, courteous explanations of the notarization process to clients, answering questions while remaining impartial.
- Manage your daily schedule, prioritize appointments, and adapt to last‑minute changes or urgent requests.
- Handle any necessary fees or payments securely and provide receipts when appropriate.
- Stay current with Arizona notary statutes, best practices, and any required continuing education.
- Report any suspicious activity or potential fraud to the appropriate authorities or company compliance officer.
What We're Looking For
- Active Arizona notary public commission in good standing.
- Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance suitable for frequent travel.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with a diverse clientele.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and remain punctual for appointments.
- Basic familiarity with common legal documents such as affidavits, powers of attorney, loan packages, and real estate paperwork.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and adhere to company security policies.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends based on client needs.
