Lead – Policy Advocacy, Regulatory Affairs

Accenture is seeking an experienced Lead – Policy Advocacy, Regulatory Affairs to be based in Mumbai, India. This full-time role offers the opportunity to shape policy engagement strategies and drive regulatory excellence across India's dynamic business environment.

About This Position

As a Lead in Policy Advocacy and Regulatory Affairs at Accenture, you will hold a strategic role focused on strengthening the organisation's relationships with government institutions, industry associations, and regulatory authorities. This position requires deep expertise in navigating India's complex policy landscape whilst building and maintaining high-level stakeholder relationships that directly influence organisational strategy and compliance posture.

What You'll Do

• Lead development and execution of comprehensive policy advocacy and regulatory engagement strategies across government, industry chambers, and regulatory bodies
• Build and nurture strategic relationships with key government stakeholders, policymakers, and regulatory officials
• Monitor and analyse evolving regulatory frameworks and policy changes relevant to the organisation's business operations
• Represent Accenture in industry forums, working groups, and regulatory consultations to shape policy direction
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives that align business objectives with government relations priorities
• Provide strategic counsel on corporate affairs, public policy, and regulatory compliance matters to senior leadership
• Develop position papers, submissions, and advocacy documents for regulatory engagement

Who We're Looking For

• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in government relations, public policy, corporate affairs, or regulatory affairs
• Proven track record of leading strategic stakeholder engagement at senior government levels
• Deep understanding of India's policy frameworks, regulatory environment, and government decision-making processes
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex regulatory relationships and navigating policy landscapes
• Strong communication, negotiation, and diplomatic skills
• Strategic thinking capability with ability to translate policy opportunities into business value
• Leadership experience managing teams or programmes in government or corporate affairs
