As a Platform Engineer- GCP and Kubernetes experience is a must with SonicWall in Pune +1 more, you will lead the care and continuous improvement of our containerised production stack. The position centres on elevating system dependability, throughput, and visibility while applying Terraform-driven automation and modern platform tooling. You will work side-by-side with engineering and product colleagues to refine architectural patterns, resolve complex bottlenecks, and craft resilient, elastic foundations that development teams find productive and trustworthy.

Your Responsibilities

• Sustain and further develop the Kubernetes platform that supports daily operations
• Raise the performance profile and overall resilience of production environments
• Guarantee comprehensive observability across live systems through effective telemetry
• Contribute to fine-tuning databases and backend services for peak efficiency
• Partner with development engineers to evaluate how new features affect platform behaviour
• Spot structural constraints and jointly design improved solutions with engineering peers
• Coordinate with support teams to keep operational runbooks accurate and actionable

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of practical Kubernetes experience
• Solid command of Linux operating systems
• Proven Google Cloud Platform expertise is essential; multi-cloud exposure adds value
• Working knowledge of Terraform
• Familiarity with container lifecycle practices
• Programming capability in Go, Python, or a comparable language
• Experience optimising database performance
• Skill in network-layer problem diagnosis
• Six to eight years of related experience paired with a bachelor’s degree, three years with a master’s, one year with a PhD, or equivalent background preferred
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an allied field preferred
