Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Operator – Shift 3

Simtra BioPharma Solutions is recruiting for a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Operator - Shift 3 role in Bloomington, Indiana. This full-time opportunity involves supporting vital production activities that deliver safe, high-quality medicines while strictly following regulated standards.

Position Summary

Several manufacturing operator openings exist on Shift 3, which runs from 10PM to 7:30AM and offers an hourly pay range of $20.00 to $26.50. These positions support fill, finish, and inspection processes and suit candidates who enjoy hands-on technical work, careful inspection, or mechanical troubleshooting. Openings cover filling operators focused on aseptic processing plus equipment setup and machine operation; formulation operators who weigh, measure, and mix ingredients; preparation operators handling equipment and component readiness; and capping operators completing container closure tasks. All work centers on producing medicines in full accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Core Duties

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures at every step
• Document activities thoroughly in batch records, logbooks, and related forms
• Operate equipment and machinery proficiently
• Use aseptic techniques and cleanroom gowning procedures where required
• Set up, clean, sanitize, and tear down rooms and equipment
• Verify materials, perform line clearances, and complete reconciliations

Requirements

• Strong teamwork skills paired with careful attention to detail
• Comfort working inside regulated cleanroom environments
• Mechanical aptitude or prior experience running complex machinery preferred
• Steady commitment to safety, quality, and efficient output
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or relevant experience preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods and complete precise, repetitive tasks while following strict GMP and cleanroom rules
• Capability to lift and handle materials or components weighing 50 to 70 pounds
• For some roles, need to pass visual acuity testing for 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses plus a color blindness test
• Successful completion of a post-offer pre-employment physical assessment confirming ability to perform essential job functions
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; Simtra does not anticipate offering employment visa sponsorship for these positions
