Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 is hiring a Part-time Paraeducator: Autistic Support at Pequea Valley Salisbury Elementary in the Lancaster area. This is a direct-hire position available to start immediately, offering educators and support professionals the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with autism spectrum disorder.
About the Role
As a part-time paraeducator specializing in autistic support, you will work alongside certified special education teachers to provide direct support and positive reinforcement to students in a classroom setting. This role is essential to creating an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive academically and socially.
Position Details
- Schedule: 5.5 hours per day, 9:45 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday
- Duration: 185 school days per year
- Hourly Rate: $20.00 minimum
- Location: Pequea Valley Salisbury Elementary
- Start Date: ASAP
What You'll Do
- Support students with autism and related developmental disabilities in inclusive classroom environments
- Assist with behavioral monitoring, communication strategies, and social skill development
- Follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and classroom-specific intervention protocols
- Collaborate with teachers, special education specialists, and families to promote student success
- Help create a structured, supportive classroom atmosphere
What We're Looking For

- Patience, compassion, and strong communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check clearance required
