Five Rivers MetroParks
Join Five Rivers MetroParks as a Park Technician (RiverScape) in Dayton, Montgomery County. This is a full-time position maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of our regional park system through hands-on maintenance, grounds care, and equipment repair.
About the Role
As a Park Technician with Five Rivers MetroParks, you'll play a vital role in keeping our parks welcoming and safe for the communities we serve. Working in assigned park areas throughout the Dayton and Montgomery County region, you'll combine outdoor skills with technical problem-solving to support park operations and guest experiences.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on park facilities, including structures, systems, and amenities
- Maintain grounds, landscaping, and vegetation in assigned areas to support the park's appearance and accessibility
- Conduct safety inspections and address hazards to ensure compliance with park standards
- Operate and maintain park equipment, tools, and machinery in working condition
- Support seasonal maintenance projects and special park initiatives
- Document maintenance activities and report facility issues to management
What We're Looking For
- Experience in general maintenance, repair, or groundskeeping work
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
