About the Role

As a Special Education Paraprofessional at Rogers School District, you'll work closely with classroom teachers to provide targeted support for students with behavioral, social, and emotional challenges. This 180-day contract position begins in August 2026 and involves both one-on-one and small-group interventions that help students succeed academically and behaviorally.

What You'll Do

• Support classroom teachers in implementing evidence-based reward systems and behavior management strategies
• Conduct regular check-ins with students who require emotional and behavioral supports
• Assist in instructional activities with students who have been identified with behavioral challenges
• Work in general education and special education classrooms to monitor and reinforce positive behaviors
• Collaborate with teachers and school counselors to support student social-emotional growth
• Perform additional duties as assigned by classroom teachers and school administrators

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Ability to build positive relationships with students of diverse backgrounds and needs
• Strong communication skills and willingness to take direction from classroom teachers
• Patience and compassion when working with students experiencing behavioral challenges
• Reliable attendance and commitment to supporting students throughout the school year
• Prior experience with students with behavioral or social-emotional needs is a plus
