About This Position
Lakota Global is seeking a highly skilled Painter Blaster to join their team in Perth CBD. As a key member of the surface preparation and painting division, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality standards are met across all projects. The role involves meticulous application of paint and protective coatings, as well as thorough cleaning and blasting of surfaces.
- Performing paint and coating applications on various assets in FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) settings
- Utilizing advanced painting techniques to achieve professional finishes
- Operating high-pressure washing equipment for surface preparation
- Maintaining detailed records of work performed and materials used
- Adhering to safety protocols and environmental regulations
Core Duties
The core duties of the Painter Blaster position include:
- Executing paint applications on marine, defence, mining, and oil & gas assets
- Performing surface preparation tasks such as cleaning and blasting using specialized equipment
- Maintaining a safe working environment by following all safety guidelines
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure project timelines are met
- Adhering to quality control standards set by NACE/AMPP-certified specialists
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Painter Blaster or similar role
- Proven ability to work independently and in teams
- Demonstrated knowledge of painting techniques and surface preparation methods
- Familiarity with high-pressure washing equipment and safety protocols
- A valid driver’s license for FIFO travel
- Excellent physical fitness, as the role involves manual labor and standing for extended periods
