About This Position

Lakota Global is seeking a highly skilled Painter Blaster to join their team in Perth CBD. As a key member of the surface preparation and painting division, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality standards are met across all projects. The role involves meticulous application of paint and protective coatings, as well as thorough cleaning and blasting of surfaces.

• Performing paint and coating applications on various assets in FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) settings
• Utilizing advanced painting techniques to achieve professional finishes
• Operating high-pressure washing equipment for surface preparation
• Maintaining detailed records of work performed and materials used
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental regulations

Core Duties

The core duties of the Painter Blaster position include:

• Executing paint applications on marine, defence, mining, and oil & gas assets
• Performing surface preparation tasks such as cleaning and blasting using specialized equipment
• Maintaining a safe working environment by following all safety guidelines
• Collaborating with other team members to ensure project timelines are met
• Adhering to quality control standards set by NACE/AMPP-certified specialists

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Painter Blaster or similar role
• Proven ability to work independently and in teams
• Demonstrated knowledge of painting techniques and surface preparation methods
• Familiarity with high-pressure washing equipment and safety protocols
• A valid driver’s license for FIFO travel
• Excellent physical fitness, as the role involves manual labor and standing for extended periods
