Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager

Join NAES as an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager at our Fremont, Ohio power generation facility. In this full-time leadership role, you'll oversee the daily operations and maintenance of a modern 540 MW natural gas-fired generating station, ensuring reliable electricity production and peak facility performance.

About the Role

As Operations and Maintenance Manager at the Fremont Energy Center, you'll direct all operational and maintenance activities for a sophisticated power generation asset. This role combines technical expertise with strategic leadership, requiring you to manage staff, optimize performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain the highest safety standards across all facility operations.

What You'll Do

• Direct daily operations of the 540 MW combined-cycle generating station, including the 2 x 1 turbine configuration with 163 MW duct-firing capacity
• Manage and mentor the O&M team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Schedule and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and uptime
• Monitor plant performance metrics, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement efficiency improvements
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and operational regulations
• Coordinate with engineering and corporate teams on facility improvements and strategic operational initiatives
• Maintain comprehensive records, documentation, and performance reporting for regulatory and operational purposes

What We're Looking For

• Extensive operations and maintenance experience in power generation or similar industrial facilities
• Demonstrated success managing operations and maintenance teams and facility-wide programs
• In-depth understanding of combined-cycle or natural gas-fired power plant systems and equipment
• Strong knowledge of energy industry regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational capabilities
• Commitment to operational safety and environmental stewardship
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in engineering or related field a plus
