About the Role

NAES Corporation is seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician for Plainfield Renewable Energy (PRE), a 37.5 MW wood biomass gasification power plant located in Plainfield, CT. The plant is owned by Greenleaf Power and operated by NAES, generating clean electricity through a single steam turbine and generator. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician in Plainfield, you will help keep critical generating and emissions-control equipment running safely and efficiently in this full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems throughout the facility.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the steam turbine, generator, and supporting balance-of-plant equipment.
• Service advanced emissions-control systems, including the high-efficiency baghouse and scrubbing equipment used to limit NOx and sulfur emissions.
• Diagnose faults, complete repairs, and document work to support continuous, reliable power generation.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while working in a power plant environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment, ideally within a power generation or heavy industrial setting.
• Ability to read schematics, interpret technical documentation, and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Working knowledge of rotating equipment, instrumentation, and plant control systems.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site in Plainfield, Windham County, Connecticut.
