What This Role Involves

As Meat and Produce Team Supervisor, you'll oversee daily operations in the meat and produce departments, directly supervising team members and ensuring exceptional quality, freshness, and presentation of products. You'll balance hands-on leadership with strategic planning to drive efficiency, safety, and customer service excellence across your department.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and mentor team members, providing training, feedback, and professional development opportunities
• Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards while managing department inventory and stock rotation
• Ensure product quality, proper handling, and optimal display to maximize sales and customer appeal
• Monitor pricing, signage, and promotional compliance while managing department labor and productivity
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues to maintain satisfaction and loyalty
• Collaborate with store management on scheduling, ordering, and department performance metrics

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in retail or food service
• Strong knowledge of meat handling, produce management, or fresh food operations
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekend shifts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate teams
• Understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP principles
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
