NCW is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Plainfield, Hendricks County to join our Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management team. In this full-time position, you'll keep production equipment running reliably for our manufacturing clients, performing hands-on maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics that directly impact operational efficiency.
About the Role
This is a direct-hire maintenance role embedded with manufacturing operations. You'll be the technical backbone ensuring production equipment stays online and performing at peak capacity. From routine upkeep to complex problem-solving, you'll combine preventive maintenance strategies with responsive repair work to minimize production delays and equipment failure.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair production machinery across mechanical and electrical systems
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules to extend equipment life and prevent unexpected failures
- Conduct equipment inspections, identify wear patterns, and recommend maintenance interventions
- Troubleshoot operational issues in real time and implement solutions
- Document maintenance activities, track equipment history, and support continuous improvement efforts
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand production needs and maintenance priorities
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing maintenance, plant maintenance, or industrial equipment repair
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems and electrical components
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and equipment upkeep practices
- Ability to read technical documentation, schematics, and maintenance manuals
- Problem-solving mindset and commitment to minimizing production downtime
- Valid driver's license (travel between client sites may be required)
