Legalist is hiring a full-time Litigation Paralegal to join our Litigation Finance Portfolio Monitoring team. Based across the United States, this role supports a rapidly growing alternative asset management firm that specializes in legal and government-payment investments.

About the Role

As a Litigation Paralegal at Legalist, you'll be instrumental in managing portfolio oversight for our litigation finance investments. Your work will ensure every case receives rigorous tracking, accurate documentation, and coordinated communication with external counsel and case stakeholders. You'll combine legal expertise with attention to detail to support the team's ability to make informed investment decisions and maintain compliance across our portfolio.

What You'll Do

  • Track and monitor active litigation matters across our portfolio, documenting case progress and significant developments
  • Organize and prepare legal documents, case summaries, and status reports for portfolio analysis
  • Maintain systematic case files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for internal review
  • Coordinate with outside counsel and case parties to gather updates and maintain information flow
  • Support portfolio performance analysis and investment evaluation activities
  • Ensure compliance tracking and reporting standards are met for all investments
  • Collaborate with team members on research, due diligence, and portfolio assessments

What We're Looking For

  • Paralegal certification or demonstrated experience in litigation or legal finance environments
  • Strong working knowledge of civil litigation, court procedures, and legal documentation practices
