Role Overview
In this Talent Acquisition Associate position at F. Schumacher & Co. in New York (statewide), you will own the end-to-end hiring process, from understanding open roles to delivering strong candidate shortlists and supporting offer discussions. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Work with hiring managers to clarify position needs, expectations, and required skills or experience.
- Design and run sourcing plans that attract qualified applicants via job boards, social channels, outreach, events, and other channels.
- Evaluate résumés and applications against role criteria.
- Lead phone, video, and on-site interviews to measure qualifications, cultural alignment, and motivation.
- Brief candidates on company culture, daily duties, and growth paths.
- Present strong shortlists of candidates to hiring managers for later rounds.
- Coordinate assessments and align interview calendars across candidates and managers.
- Keep transparent, timely communication flowing so candidate expectations stay clear.
- Create a positive candidate journey with prompt updates, constructive feedback, and quick replies.
- Share complete role and compensation details plus logistics as candidates enter the process.
- Advise managers on hiring practices, compensation insights, and interview approaches.
- Give regular pipeline updates covering sourcing progress, feedback, and interview outcomes.
- Support offer extensions that align on pay and terms, and assist with negotiations when needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably spanning corporate and technical roles.
- Knowledge of current hiring trends, market compensation data, and proven sourcing methods.
- Hands-on full-cycle recruitment background that includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems such as Greenhouse, Rippling, or Workday, plus tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and Glassdoor.
- Results focus that meets hiring timelines and key performance indicators.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including facilitation and presentation ability.
- Capacity to manage multiple open requisitions at once and hit deadlines.
- Solid organizational and time-management habits with careful attention to detail.
- Professional presence that represents the F. Schumacher & Co. brand well.
- Self-motivated, proactive, confident, and positive outlook plus negotiation and conflict-resolution strength.
