Lead Consultant - Medicaid at Maximus in Wilmington, North Carolina

About the Role

The Lead Consultant provides strategic operational, policy, and program advisory support to public-sector clients. Consulting services may include:

  • Policy & Regulatory Analysis: Evaluate and assess the operational, financial, and strategic impact of federal and state policy, regulatory, and legislative changes.
  • Program Design & Reform: Support clients in the design and reform of programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Core Duties

The Lead Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Leading complex projects that require a deep understanding of Medicaid policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Developing comprehensive strategies to address client needs and challenges in the public sector.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality consulting services.

What You Bring

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Medicaid or related public sector programs.
  • Proven experience as a Lead Consultant or equivalent position within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex policy issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
