You'll combine interpersonal skill with design expertise, using proven tools and showroom resources to create tailored solutions that match each customer's budget, style, and functional needs.

What You'll Do

• Welcome and engage customers to understand their design goals, space constraints, and lifestyle priorities
• Guide customers through the full design process, presenting "good, better, best" product and service options at every decision point
• Develop detailed kitchen and bathroom designs using design software and Home Depot's selection of cabinetry, countertops, appliances, and fixtures
• Provide expert knowledge about products, materials, finishes, installation processes, and maintenance to help customers make confident choices
• Offer product samples, color swatches, and takeaway materials so customers can visualize designs in their own homes
• Document design specifications, measurements, and customer preferences to ensure accuracy and continuity
• Collaborate with installation teams and other departments to ensure seamless project delivery
• Build lasting customer relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in kitchen or bathroom design, or strong sales background in home improvement retail
• Proficiency with design software or willingness to quickly master Home Depot's design tools
• Deep knowledge of kitchen and bathroom products, materials, trends, and installation considerations
• Exceptional listening skills and ability to translate customer needs into compelling design solutions
• Strong communication and presentation abilities—both in-person and through visuals
• Consultative sales mindset: you prioritize customer satisfaction and value over transaction volume
• Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, documentation, and specifications
