Department Supervisor

Home Depot is seeking a Department Supervisor to lead the team at its Crawfordsville, Montgomery County store.

About the Role

As a Department Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations within a specific product area, guiding associates to deliver helpful service and maintain an organized, welcoming shopping environment. You’ll act as a liaison between the floor staff and store management, sharing insights that help shape merchandising and operational decisions.

What You'll Do

• Directly lead, train, coach, and develop associates assigned to your department.
• Ensure customers receive prompt, knowledgeable assistance and can locate merchandise easily.
• Maintain department standards for product presentation, cleanliness, and safety.
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate replenishment, and support accurate stock counts.
• Provide feedback to the Store Management and Operations teams on product performance, layout effectiveness, and process improvements.
• Schedule associate shifts, manage time‑keeping, and address performance or attendance concerns.
• Assist with visual merchandising updates, promotional setups, and seasonal changes.
• Resolve customer escalations and associate issues in a timely, professional manner.

What We're Looking For

• Proven ability to lead and motivate a retail team.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, associates, and management.
• Solid understanding of product knowledge and store operations.
• Experience with inventory control, merchandising, and scheduling.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and well‑stocked department.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail leadership experience is a plus.
