About This Position

The City of Colton is seeking to hire one full-time JOINT POLE COORDINATOR. The filing deadline for applications is August 10, 2026 @ 5:00 p.m., or when 50 applications are received. Interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

What You'll Do

Under general supervision of the Electric Utility System Designer, you will administer, examine, enhance, and maintain all aspects of joint pole coordination. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Evaluating and approving utility plans for compliance with city regulations.
  • Coordinating with various utilities to ensure efficient use of poles and infrastructure.
  • Maintaining records and reports related to joint pole usage and maintenance.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for joint pole coordination.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with experience in utility coordination or a related field. Key qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in utility coordination or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with various utilities and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with city regulations and policies related to joint pole usage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
