Solaris, Europe's pioneering embedded finance platform, is hiring a (Senior) IT Auditor to join its Internal Audit function in Frankfurt. This is a full-time, on-site role for an audit professional ready to shape how a licensed Banking-as-a-Service provider tests, assures, and strengthens its IT processes.

About the Role

As a (Senior) IT Auditor at Solaris in Frankfurt, you will independently plan and deliver IT audits across our modular B2B banking technology, evaluating how legal and regulatory requirements such as BAIT and ISO standards (including ISO 27001) are put into practice. Your scope will scale with your experience, and you will help define the methods and value our audit team brings to the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and run IT audits end to end, authoring audit reports and aligning closely with the relevant business units.
  • Assess the internal control system for compliance, security, and process and system efficiency.
  • Independently review internal and external findings throughout the follow-up cycle.
  • Support internal projects in line with MaRisk, BAIT, KWG, and emerging AI regulatory expectations.
  • Contribute to advancing our auditing techniques and approach.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5+ years auditing IT requirements (MaRisk, BAIT, IT-Grundschutz, or ISO 2700X).
  • A degree in IT, cyber security, information security, or a comparable field.
  • Hands-on auditing or consulting background, particularly with Test of Design (ToD) and Test of Effectiveness (ToE).
  • Solid grasp of core processes: BCM, incident and problem management, cloud, outsourcing, software development and approval, and authorization management.
  • Familiarity with AI governance — explainability, fairness, model lifecycle management, and the EU AI Act — plus comfort applying and critically reviewing AI tools.
  • Strong command of regulatory standards, sound judgment, a collaborative and proactive mindset, and excellent English and German communication.
