Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City is seeking a full-time IR Technologist to join our radiology department in Kansas City, Jackson County. In this role, you'll support interventional radiologists in performing complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while providing direct assistance to patients throughout their care.
About the Role
As an Interventional Radiology Technologist at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City, you'll play a critical role in our radiology operations. This full-time position involves working alongside physicians to execute specialized interventional procedures that advance patient treatment outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Assist physicians with interventional radiologic procedures and provide direct patient care support
- Prepare equipment, instruments, and supplies required for interventional procedures
- Position patients safely and ensure proper setup for procedures
- Monitor imaging equipment and ensure optimal functionality during cases
- Maintain detailed procedure documentation and records
- Follow strict infection control and safety protocols to protect patient and staff well-being
- Communicate clearly with the clinical team to ensure efficient workflow
What We're Looking For
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) license from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts (must be obtained within 60 days of hire if not already held)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, required within one year of employment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Physical ability to assist with patient positioning and procedure setup
