Director, Strategic Finance & Investor Relations

Cloudflare is seeking a Director, Strategic Finance & Investor Relations to lead financial strategy and investor engagement from our San Francisco headquarters. In this executive-level role, you will shape the company's financial narrative, direct capital allocation strategy, and drive value-creation initiatives that align business performance with stakeholder expectations.

About the Role

As Director of Strategic Finance & Investor Relations, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board, managing the intersection of financial planning, investor communications, and long-term value creation. You'll oversee the development and execution of financial strategy that supports Cloudflare's mission to build a better Internet while maintaining strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and the broader financial community.

What You'll Do

• Lead investor relations strategy, including earnings communications, investor meetings, conferences, and capital markets engagement
• Develop and oversee comprehensive financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling
• Guide strategic capital allocation decisions across operations, M&A, and shareholder returns
• Manage financial disclosure processes, SEC compliance, and investor reporting requirements
• Collaborate with executive leadership to translate business strategy into financial frameworks and performance metrics
• Build and mentor a high-performing team supporting financial strategy and investor relations functions
• Monitor market dynamics, competitive positioning, and industry trends to inform strategic recommendations
• Serve as a primary external spokesperson for financial performance and long-term strategic vision

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in financial planning, corporate strategy, or investor relations, ideally in technology or growth-oriented industries
• Proven track record managing financial strategy and capital allocation at a senior level
• Deep understanding of public company finance, SEC regulations, and investor communications
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear strategic insights
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence executives, investors, and Board members
• Experience leading teams and developing talent
• Strategic mindset with the ability to balance near-term performance with long-term value creation
