Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Execute personal monitoring for chemical and physical exposures plus noise dosimetry measurements
• Support creation of personal exposure sampling strategies
• Obtain noise, water, air, and building material samples for analysis
• Compile, evaluate, and explain collected information
• Produce initial technical reports documenting findings
• Perform industrial hygiene reviews of chemical and noise hazards
• Complete indoor environmental quality evaluations
• Carry out air quality monitoring activities
• Sample various building materials
• Investigate water intrusion events and mold conditions
• Conduct moisture mapping surveys
• Inspect surfaces for visible signs of suspect biological growth
• Follow mold sampling methods and clearance procedures
• Assist asbestos abatement activities including sampling and on-site project supervision
• Complete lead-based paint inspections along with lead sampling and clearance testing
• Provide project oversight support and guide junior staff development
• Promote safe work methods on every assignment while advancing personal career progress

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field
• Two or more years of solid technical experience
• Background performing industrial hygiene tasks including personal exposure monitoring, noise dosimetry, asbestos sampling, mold assessments, and lead sampling
• Asbestos, lead, and/or mold inspector credentials preferred
• Extra EHS certificates or a clear interest in earning them highly valued
