As an Independent Vacancy Check Reviewer with FAR Inspections, you'll play a vital part in the residential mortgage inspection process. This full-time position based in Chicago serves properties throughout DuPage County and nearby communities. You'll evaluate residential properties, document their condition, and produce inspection reports that lenders use to make informed financing decisions.
What You'll Do
- Perform systematic vacancy inspections on residential properties across DuPage County and surrounding areas
- Document property conditions with photographs and detailed written observations
- Complete comprehensive inspection reports according to lending standards
- Assess structural and systems integrity during property walkthroughs
- Submit accurate, timely reports that meet quality and deadline requirements
- Collaborate with FAR Inspections team members on inspection scheduling and reporting
What We're Looking For
- Dependable, detail-oriented professional with strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently while meeting assigned deadlines
- Skilled observer with excellent documentation abilities
- Comfortable using digital photography and inspection reporting software
- Experience in property assessment or residential inspection is beneficial
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Chicago and surrounding counties
