About the Role

As Berater:in für das Projekt "handicap", you will advise workplace interest groups and support companies in strengthening inclusion. This is a full-time position based in Hamburg, focused on raising awareness for the employment and training of people with severe disabilities and embedding the idea of inclusion firmly within organisations.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise works councils, staff councils and representatives for severely disabled employees on workplace participation under SGB IX, Part 3, with a focus on prevention, inclusion and rehabilitation — covering employer obligations, the rights of severely disabled people, inclusion agreements and company integration management (BEM).
• Provide hands-on, on-site guidance and support for interest groups dealing with concrete cases within their companies.
• Deliver talks and in-house training sessions for committees and at workplace assemblies.
• Facilitate the development of inclusion agreements and BEM processes.
• Produce specialist articles, practical working aids and informational materials.
• Prepare summaries and reports documenting project work and its outcomes.
• Cooperate with relevant committees and institutions while maintaining a network of contacts across workplace and external disability-policy bodies.

Qualifications

• A university degree, ideally in law, psychology, education or adult education.
• Practical experience in advisory work.
• Familiarity with rehabilitation and the participation of people with disabilities.
• Knowledge of how workplace interest groups operate.
• The ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently.
• Confident command of standard Microsoft Office applications.
