Core Duties

• Greet all guests promptly and courteously as they enter the restaurant
• Manage the dining room seating arrangement and monitor table availability
• Maintain an accurate wait list and communicate estimated wait times to arriving guests
• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle reservation inquiries
• Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and dining room entrance
• Create a welcoming atmosphere that reflects Applebee's commitment to hospitality

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help guests
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Reliability and commitment to consistent, punctual attendance
• Ability to work flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Previous customer service or restaurant experience preferred but not required
