About the Role

This full-time, employed Hospitalist position near Rocky Mount, NC places you alongside 8 hospitalists, 2 advanced practice providers, and a seasoned support staff. You will work a predictable 7-on/7-off daytime rotation built on 12-hour shifts, managing a typical daily census of 14 to 16 patients. Telemedicine ICU coverage is available to assist with higher-acuity care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive inpatient care to an average of 14–16 patients per day.
• Provide ICU coverage and oversee ventilator management for critically ill patients.
• Perform bedside procedures within the scope of hospitalist practice.
• Collaborate with fellow hospitalists, APPs, and the broader care team to coordinate treatment.
• Leverage available telemedicine ICU support to guide complex clinical decisions.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Clinical comfort with ICU patients, ventilator management, and inpatient procedures.
• Willingness to work a 7-on/7-off daytime schedule with 12-hour shifts on-site in Dortches, North Carolina.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach to patient care.
